Congregations
Knights of Columbus Council
#4239 serves the greater O'Fallon, Illinois community, including portions
of Shiloh, Bellevile, and Scott Air Force Base. And as such, it is
our extreme privilege to be affiliated with and provide service to the
following outstanding congregations.
Corpus Christi
"Corpus
Christi Church is a rapidly growing parish located in Southwest Illinois,
approximately 20 miles east of the St. Louis Arch. Our small church was
founded by men and women of German and English descent who had come to
farm the fertile soil of the Midwest and mine the abundant coal fields
beneath them. Although many of our members are still part of the
agricultural community, the mining industry has all but disappeared.
Today, our parishioners are more likely to be doctors, nurses, and
electricians. Regardless of these changes, the spirit of the people
remains unchanged. As a parish family, we celebrate the birth of a child
through the sacrament of baptism. Together, we mourn the loss of a loved
one."
St. Clare

"We, the people of St. Clare Catholic Parish, In the Diocese of
Belleville, are called by God in baptism To be disciples of Jesus Christ.
Centered in the Eucharist, And strengthened by the gifts of the Holy
Spirit, we strive to live the Gospel and further the reign of God.
We do this by creating a vibrant faith community, by actively promoting
justice and evangelization, and by using our gifts in the service of
God’s people."
St. Nicholas

"St. Nicholas is a Roman Catholic Community formed in 1982. We number
approximately 1000 households. We are committed to good liturgy, solid
educational opportunities for all ages, and variety of ways in which we
can be of service to each other and the community around us. We have a
Catholic school (K-8) as well as a Parish School of Religion.
You are welcome to join us for
prayer and in our search for ways to deepen our knowledge of God,
celebrate His presence, and to join Him in service to our sisters and
brothers." |
