God's Special Children Golf Classic

Every April, our council hold the God's Special Children Golf Classic.  This event grew out of the foresight of several Brother Knights a few years ago. Each year, Knights of Columbus Councils are challenged with a goal of monetary donations to local charities. Of these, the O’Fallon Council actively participates in weekly Bingos, Tootsie Roll drives, and Turkey Trot runs, to name a few. In order to strengthen the commitments to it’s benefactors, a golf tournament was identified as the additional source of revenue. Throughout its four-year history, this event has proven to be not only a fun-filled day of activities, but also a big fund-raiser to support local charitable groups in the area.

We are extremely pleased to announce that last year’s event raised over $13,000 to benefit three local charities:  Area 12 Special Olympics, the Illinois Center for Autism and S.A.V.E.  Our 7th Annual Classic will be held on April 28th, 2006.  If you would like to participate as a player, become a hole-sponsor or donate an attendance prize, please contact Craig Halpin, at (618) 628-1077.  Check back at this site for more information.
